As organizations increasingly adopt AI and robotics across sectors, they must create new jobs focused on managing AI agents, robots, and collaborative robots, requiring workers skilled in human-computer interaction. Traditional human resources functions will need to evolve into combined HR and “robot relations” departments that address employee interactions with AI technologies and manage resistance to technological change. Additionally, society will need to redefine work and develop new social contracts to accommodate shifting labor dynamics caused by automation and digitalization.
